REDUCED NOISE, VIBRATION AND HARSHNESS -- Twin Technology Active Control System delivers exceptional control under most driving conditions while isolating impact-related noise, vibration and harshness. EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING -- Full displaced valving, tuned specifically to each vehicle, adjusts to road extremes while the larger bore provides more efficient damping control to provide consistency and a smooth ride. CONTROL AND DURABILITY -- Fluon-banded piston provides consistent sealing between piston and pressure tube for better control and increased durability. CONSISTENT RIDE -- OE all-weather fluid contains special additives to assist with extreme temperatures and help reduce oil breakdown. IMPROVES PERFORMANCE -- Nitrogen gas-charge maintains tire-to-road contact for improved ride and handling by reducing aeration and shock fade. BUILT TO LAST -- Self-lubricating fluid seal retains gas and reduces excessive friction against the piston rod to help reduce premature wear.

NOT quite OEM the best in shock absorbers

Lower shock bushing non OEM. Sloppy landing, rattled and knocked. Removed and returned by Revain. Buy an $80 Honda shock or look for something better with a solid hub.

Very good shock absorbers, very comparable to the originals!

These are great shocks. They feel great, especially when someone like me is looking for a factory ride. They made my car's suspension brand new again. Again, these shock absorbers are very comparable to OEM specs but without the high prices. I will definitely recommend her!

2008 honda civic rear shock absorbers

one of my original shock absorbers lost pressure and caused my car to shake when going over bumps or drops in the road. I received a pair of these shock absorbers as replacements. it was cheap. It looks a little softer than the original. But it works. After 2 years of use it looks like it needs to be replaced. I'm a little rough with my car.

Will not fit my 2008 Honda Civic sedan perfectly

This shock absorber will not fit my 2008 Honda Civic LX 4 door sedan perfectly even though the product description says it fits perfectly. The rubber bushing feels too small, causing the damper to rattle. Also, it was shipped without a top nut, so it's up to the seller and/or manufacturer to check the boxes before shipping!

Pass them on Shocks, Struts and Suspension

I bought 2 of these kits, one for my 2009 Civic and one for my daughter's 2006 Civic. In my opinion, these are unsuitable dampers for this application. They don't have as much travel (fully extended) as the OEM and the mine rides hard and noisy after about 2 months of wear in both applications. I am very, very disappointed.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok

Will not quite fit 2006 Honda Civic

base that matches the bottom bracket and over-tightens the cross-bolt by 3mm. I had to file both to fit between the bracket to align the screw. The tip, which screws into the barrel, isn't a 5mm hex, it's just a flat punch on the end. You'll need to clamp it with a vise to hold it while you tighten the nut. The rubber pads running from the top of the trunk are smaller than the stock ones and don't fill the whole can properly. This should not be called a genuine replacement. Some adjustments are

Monroe will not honor the warranty due to the seller. STAY AWAY DO NOT BUY

I bought these about a year ago with what was supposed to be a lifetime warranty. They were loud and I called the seller. The seller didn't work with me and offered to work directly with Monroe. I did this and they said they would not honor the warranty because the seller was not an authorized dealer or reseller. I mainly blame this Monroe because I don't think the seller should affect the warranty. Monroe made them in his factory, what difference does it make who sold them? I will never buy…

Great shock absorbers at an unbeatable price

First off, don't be surprised (pun intended) if you get them and they don't look exactly as pictured on Revain. The box is definitely Monroe's, although it doesn't have a logo sticker as one might assume from the picture. I then rated the same shock across several major auto centers (let's call them Big P Tires and Firerock for legality) as well as the local mechanic I use and none of them could match that price. One local went so far as to tell me he might have to order them through Revain as…
