Just Perfect for Spare Parts

Are They OEM? I don't know but they go just like the originals I shot. They improved the handling of my 2009 Z71 4X4 Silverado Long Cab Pickup. I went to parts stores, got a part number and then looked for a Revain at the best price. VICTORY VICTORY VICTORY VICTORY.

08 Silverado Best in Shocks, Struts and Suspension

I liked these shocks when I first installed them, but after about a month they started making a creaking noise when I over uneven ground or simply accelerate after stopping. It's not even a creak, but a loud crack. Replaced them with AcDelco and now all is well again!

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Smooth ride, easy install

These shocks were purchased to replace the original shocks on my 2013 Silverado. It was very easy to remove the old shock absorbers and install the new ones. 2 bolts for shock absorbers. It is recommended to spray the bolts with WD40 or similar a few days before removing the bolts. This makes it easier to remove the screws. Good videos on You Tube for anyone having installation questions. Drive like new. Nice DIY project. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

Garbage ! - Shock absorbers

What I liked about these shock absorbers, where is the price. I knew they were a good brand but they've been on my truck for about two months and it feels like they've been there for years! they are garbage. They started out with a very good ride and then I noticed they were softening. Well so much money for spending money and putting shock absorbers on my truck. They are on my everyday road truck. 2011 Silverado. I will neither buy nor recommend them!

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Useless features

Wow what a difference!

Excellent dampers. Be sure to remove the included straps only after you have installed the top bolt and seated the damper into the lower mounting post, otherwise the damper will expand and you could cut the strap. The shock absorber is under pressure and lengthens as shown in the picture. It's not fun to recompress it to fit the mount. (See photos) Of course it changed my 2008 Silverado. I didn't have any mounting hardware included, so I used the OEM screws with no problem.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Fine

2008 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE, 87,000 miles

Went to the shop and completed the front strut and rear shock replacement in just over 2 hours. Having an elevator made all the difference. Replacement instructions written by others are correct. Definitely something you can DIY and save $200. I wasn't sure if the old shocks needed replacing because they didn't have much rebound. Now that they have been replaced I understand what they should have been. The ride is much better and the handling more stable, I'm very happy to have done this job.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Negative impression

2008 Chevy Silverado rear shock absorber.

I have to give them 5 stars. Easy to install on my 2008 Silverado cab, no need to remove the front stabilizer bar for installation. My truck is at 100,000 and it's time for new shocks and struts. The strut coils raised the front of the truck about 1 inch and restored the original ride height. They feel great, not too stiff, just firm and firm like new. Good price, good value and I saved a lot of money by doing the work myself. The rear shocks are great value and feel like the truck is new.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Only available in white

Bought for 2007 GMC Sierra

Bought 2 of these for my 2007 GMC Sierra Z71 4x4 1500. The fitment could have gone better for me. Learned the hard way not to cut the nylon strap that compresses the shock until the top is bolted on and you are ready to let the shock expand to the bottom holes. I ended up using my jack without the grip pad to raise the extended shock so it lowered back into the bolt holes. All in all, I'm glad I bought the set. The original AC Delco driver's side damper definitely failed on the driver's side at

Good shock absorber for shock absorbers

I installed these shock absorbers to replace the old ones. They seem to have changed the handling of my truck. The ride is pretty good, not as smooth as before. They're a bit stiffer and don't handle turns well, but when the truck is loaded or towing a trailer, it doesn't squat as much either. So I gave up the smooth ride and unencumbered handling in favor of better towing and towing. As I don't tow or tow as much as I used to I would rather leave things as they were but the old ones had over…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Not fashionable
