factory repair?

This is not what is shown. You are black. Made in USA is written on the bottom. But I think it's renovated. I don't know why they paint the trunk. I installed them and they hold air. I also held my breath while everything is fine.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Repair

Up Rise good for shocks

We installed them on a 2001 Explorer. The backend was sagging quite a bit and we wanted to straighten it out. Not only did these shocks do the job, they were cheaper than traditional gas shocks. With only 50psi in them, they lifted the SUV 2 inches and leveled it well.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • boring packaging

The quality is still there after all these years

All the same old car thieves I knew but the heavier ones I need when towing a car trailer I add some air instead to straightening it out Having towed a 4-tail and an old Ford Explorer 98, it handles damn well now, along with some Gabriel light truck shocks up front. The simple install is still the same as I remember it at the hour to install it at the airline I thought about getting an air pump unit from an old Corona Vic or Expedition so it could add air itself.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • I'll be silent

Hose upgrades in shocks, struts and suspension

Overall a great thing, the only thing is that it doesn't want to hold air. For two days it holds psi to the point of being filled, but after that there is a rapid deflation. I love driving when the air is holding but terrible when it's deflated. Maybe I'll switch to a stainless steel line. Still a great price and happy with how easy it is to install after removing the old rusty screws. I last installed them on a 2000 Ford Explorer that I use that has heavy tooling on the back. If you need to…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some flaws

Raise 1999 Ford Explorer Sagging Rear

Great product for repairing my Explorer rear sag at a very reasonable price and I could do it myself. Easy to assemble as I already removed the spare wheel. The top screws are hard to reach but I got them out and I'm 66 years old. There was a right shock absorber and a left shock absorber, of course I mounted them on the wrong side at first! :) They fit perfectly and I had no leaks when I connected the air ducts. With 30 pounds of air in it (at least 20) they lifted my car to a nice level…

Pros
  • Great Overall Features
Cons
  • Exchange Availability

Should have done that many years ago.

Purchased to fix sag on a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport. Tried replacing the leaf springs 5 years ago but they only lasted a couple of years and sagged. By jacking up and lowering the rear end, it's flat for a day or two and then lower. Put these air dams in place as directed (note one wasn't perfectly aligned, then pulled out direction and noticed there is a left and right side) and it all came together perfectly and ran fine. The air lines release the spare tire and run over the spare tire…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Almost never
