It wasn't the sound I hear.

This is my gearbox. But the last time my friend served him I told him about the noise and he told me to turn on my radio. This tells me that he gives me a lifetime guarantee on the rebuild he did in 2018. But this Lully tension thing came through easily and works well.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

WORKS PERFECTLY on belts, hoses and pulleys

Perfect for my 2007 Lincoln Town Car. I posted before and after photos. My husband says you can never go wrong with genuine Motorcraft parts. This is the brand he always chooses for auto repairs. The installation went smoothly. High quality auto parts. I hope this is helpful.

Genuine Motorcraft parts are cheaper than parts stores

Better price than parts stores and free shipping on Prime. It couldn't be better, this is an official Motorcraft part in sealed packaging. Installation is very easy, if you can remove the strap and unscrew one screw, you can install it.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not the best

Don't save money by buying aftermarket, just get it!

If you use an aftermarket tensioner instead like I did, you'll still get it in about 6 months. And more importantly, there is a distinct difference in the quality of this part even when compared to established aftermarket tensioners.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Expensive

These suction cups work so well

I don't know when this part was installed because my mechanic told me to replace it. OMG someone gave me back a new car or something. it rides so smooth you slip and climb and ride it's like ride ride ride you can't catch me. This part upgraded my 18 year old car with only 130,000 miles to take driving to a new level.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Motorcraft / Ford Genuine Part. Install it, trust it without question.

OEM Tensioner and Pulley for 2006 Lincoln Town Car Executive L. Use a medium sized ratchet and a short extension to plug the square hole on the tensioner and rotate/loosen the belt. Remove the belt from the alternator, loosen the 10mm bolt to remove the old tensioner, place the new tensioner in the mounting slot on the timing case cover, hand tighten the bolt in the center and tighten , after aligning the tensioner tab with the steering wheel Home. Use the ratchet on the tensioner again to move

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Fast OK

You can install it yourself and save hundreds of dollars!

I saved $300 in labor at the Ford dealership by purchasing this $40 OEM part and installing it myself after the dealer told me the tensioner was defective and cost me $400 offered for exchange. This was very easy for me to install as the tensioner only has 1 bolt and is readily available on the Ford Crown Vic. All you need is a 3/8" socket and a 1/4" ratchet. .2- Now that the tensioner is free of the serpentine belt, use a 3/8 socket wrench and ratchet to loosen the single bolt holding the…
