Fixed brakes in Grand Marquis 2008

The product was quite easy to install, apart from the fact that it was under the dashboard. Certainly not the most intuitive work environment. Fixed my brakes not engaging and it was an exact replica of the original brake switch. Hope it lasts as long as the first!

Pros
  • practical function
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Brake light issue fixed

My 2004 Ford F-350 got stuck in the park intermittently. The issue was resolved after installation. I always use OEM when possible. Much easier to install and less expensive than a magnetic switch latch. So if you are not sure what is causing the problem, replace that part first. I recommend this product.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Easy serviceability

Nothing compares to original parts!

After removing the old switch, a very important medallion may fall off. It is also recommended to replace the brake light switch connector, otherwise the new switch may fail within a year.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

This part solved my problem of being unable to get the transmission out of park with the engine running. Installation was a little tricky; However, I was able to complete the installation in about 5 minutes. The spring clip must be removed from the left side of the mounting stud (except when installing a new switch) before you can position the switch for removal. It requires a bit of wiggling, twisting, and "gentle" watching. The original Motorcraft switch lasted 22 years; So it wasn't hard to…

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • No insurance

I ordered this switch to replace the intermittent switch on my 2000 ranger and it is an OEM part except for the serial number. Pretty easy to install, took about 5 minutes, the worst part was lying upside down and looking under the wheel (I'm not as young as I used to be and my eyesight made it difficult). He pulled out the locking cotter pin, pulled the old switch off the brake pedal shaft and disconnected it from the wiring harness, cleaned the contacts before installing it, put the new…
