Exactly as in the description

Arrived quickly and very well packaged. It is exactly as described and works great when I convert old VHS-C family videos to DVD! I would buy again!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some nuances

Only worked for a few minutes

Played 2 home cassettes and broke ruining a special home video. These are lost memories. Very disappointed, sad and frustrated.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Long delivery time

so far so good good for accessories

Okay seems to work well just a little annoying that there were absolutely no instructions included. I fiddled with it for an hour trying to open it to insert a cassette, eventually I found a place for the battery and it opened. Could have said beforehand

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons

A motorized converter is MUCH better.

Wow, a bit expensive compared to my last VHS-C converter. Fast forward after receiving the product >> This motorized converter is amazing! This requires a battery but keeps the tape taut and in the perfect position to prevent damage during playback. Very happy.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • protection

Nice to look at old videos

When I bought it I was a bit worried about how finicky VCRs can be. In the second video I inserted with it, the tape was unwound and the tape was damaged for about a minute. I took the VCR cover off and left it off and haven't had any problems since, so the problem may have been with the VCR and not the tape. Also, it worked as expected and I was able to watch old tapes I hadn't seen in years. The price is a bit high but works as described.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Secret

BUYER BEWARE!, Defective Item POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

BUYER BEWARE! The seller refuses to give a full refund and charges a 20% restocking fee. claimed that the item has been tested and is working properly. I still have damaged cassettes, see photos. I bought another cassette adapter from another seller and it worked fine. BUYER, BE CAREFUL! Update: I got my 20% restocking fee back, changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars.

Pros
  • Won't Work or Play: MiniDV, Hi8, Digital 8 & 8mm Tapes
Cons
  • Not Sure

Ideal for watching old videos

VCRs can be demanding.

Pros
  • Requires 1 AA battery (not included), includes 1 VCC113 microfiber cloth and 1 LensPen lens cleaner
Cons
  • Available in black only

IT FOUND MY VCR BROKEN!

Worked a few minutes then broke. First they tried a less important tape and then they put in a very important VHS-C wedding. The adapter broke and my husband had to disassemble the VCR to get it. The VCR is broken. The adapter had to be broken to get the strap out. The protective plastic part of the VHS-C cassette has come loose, but the cassette itself seems fine so we may still be able to digitize it. This adapter is not worth the risk! The photos show what is left of the adapter after the…

Pros
  • Motorized for quick and easy belt loading and unloading
Cons
  • Out of fashion
