Didn't work right out of the box. Raw and doesn't jam between courses like the original. When the set screw is tightened, it doesn't loosen at all and you can't get it out of the park.

Many will agree that the shifter will not work with this part fitted. The button may work the first time but never returns to the shift lock position. Like others I removed the plastic cover that was broken on the old one, put it on the old handle and fixed the problem. Paying a lot for a plastic cover.

Same problem as everyone else I knew when I bought all I needed was a button so got it I replaced it with too much glue, no release, no save to install on any cobalt. Cheaper than the dealer if you can go to the junkyard and find one that does, or pay more online or at the dealer for a new replacement. Only suitable as a button replacement. Product arrived very quickly and looks great. The problem I had was in the plastic button. The internal gear that actually moves the shaft up and down, allowing the car's derailleur to move back and forth out of park and other gears, gets stuck. So it doesn't stay in the gear it should be in. I remove the plastic cover and install it on the old shift knob. So I had to pay $40 for a case. fixed automatically, but not perfect, that's for sure.

Bought for my 2008 Chevy Cobalt. I made the mistake of not reading the reviews until I tried to install the handle to no avail. I had the same problems as all the other 1 star reviews, it wouldn't shift out of neutral due to the shift lock not releasing. I removed the button from the product and replaced it on my old pen and solved the problem. But $40 for a new button? It's just ridiculous that this product should be removed from Revain because it doesn't work as advertised.
