Great except for the height adjustment slider

I bought 2 of these to hang the projectors in our church sanctuary - we used some old cabinets which trap heat and kill lamps. Installation was easy and the hardware is great. I like that there are multiple pieces of hardware at each attachment point (and adjustment point) to prevent breakage. EXCEPT SLAM HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT. This is the only screw that is simply held onto the outer rail to prevent the projector from slipping/dropping. The metal isn't very strong, so if you try to tighten it too…

Works Perfectly: Mounts

For the money this thing is awesome. It was pretty easy to install. The instructions could have been a bit clearer between the ceiling mount types, but other than that it was a breeze. The connection to my projector was a little solid, but not too bad, and I got it up and running fairly quickly. For the price of this item, it was well worth it.

Good universal projector mount

This mount protects my Epson projector almost too well. I may have to move this location as I installed it in the basement where upstairs movement will cause the projector to shake.

Low price mediocre quality

This was the first projector ceiling mount I have bought or installed so I had no comparison at first. It was absurdly difficult to assemble, a little wobbly with vibration and required regular readjustment, but overall it fit me quite well (especially for the price). However, after about a year I decided to switch to the BenQ CM00G3 Universal. The ceiling mount and I were blown away by its ease of use and build quality. If you need a long retractable mount, this is it.

I used this ceiling mount for my outdoor cinema screen. This gives me the length I was looking for to lower the projector just below the ceiling fan. It also allows for some lateral movement from side to side. Perfect for what I needed it for. Most of the mounts I've considered won't be long enough, this one has room left.
