Keeps my daughter dry!

So far they have worked great for my daughter's school program in the woods! She was dry from having been in the rain all morning. I wish they had an elastic at the bottom but the buckles seem to have worked to hold them tight so water doesn't rise up and get into their boots.

Pros
  • They are exactly as described and of good quality but I think they are a bit small for the small size so be aware when you order.
Cons
  • May cause overheating in warmer climates or during intense activity

a little less than expected. I hoped so too.

a little less than expected. I was also hoping that they would be tighter around the ankles so less water could get in when worn over a boot. But other than that, the pants worked well when my kid tried them out in muddy puddles.

Pros
  • perfect for our first girls hike...it rained for three days! You would be unhappy without these pants.
Cons
  • Cannot provide enough warmth in extremely cold weather

Work as you wish - my new review

I bought these primarily to use when I go to Maid of the Mist in Niagara Falls so I'll be updating them. I will also try to use it for hiking. They fit the length which is great as the small adult versions are too long. The waist fits as soon as I put it on my hip so it's delicate.

Pros
  • I wish they had more colors to choose from but they fit as expected.
Cons
  • Cannot be gender neutral

Not waterproof! in my rating

I don't know why they are listed as waterproof. If you stay in it in the rain, water will seep in. When you sit in the snow or play in the snow, the water flows.

Pros
  • I bought this item for my daughter to wear during her ice skating lessons. They fit great and feel very solid.
Cons
  • Too long and doesn't fit

Very good buy in my opinion

We went to Japan in February, to the Japanese Alps as part of a trip. We tried to reduce the weight of our luggage so we didn't want to pack our boys in bulky winter pants. We still had jogging pants for the trip, so we wore them as a waterproof layer when sledding and in the mountains. They worked great, the kids stayed completely dry! They weigh next to nothing, are packaged and really don't take up any space. The only negative - it would be better with pockets.

Pros
  • I like
Cons
  • Possibly not enough storage pockets

Durable, good value for money.

Great value for money. Our daughter uses them at school in all weathers. We made them a little bigger so hopefully they will last over a year.

Pros
  • Good product, good price.
Cons
  • May not be rip and tear resistant

Just wanted for my twins

I wanted very light waterproof pants for my twins. We travel with backpacks and know the equipment. We haven't tried them in the rain but they look good and fit as expected. They work well as a windbreaker. One thing I don't think they mention in the description is that they come with cloth pouches. Less than a tennis ball. Ideal for girls to carry in backpack when needed. We also have two Mountain Warehouse ski jackets. Girls love them and hands down can't beat them for the price. These rain…

Pros
  • Lightweight - great for travel, comfortable to wear and easy to pack
Cons
  • High price

Worth buying!

While I expected them to be lightweight, they are much lighter than I expected! Something like those thin bags you get with umbrellas? Yes, they remind me of that, only waterproof and louder. I don't like the volume but they are definitely waterproof/resistant and it's great! We live in PNW and it's raining so the shelter for my kids is just what I was hoping for. We even took them out in the snow last weekend and my oldest layered jacket was underneath and they were the top layer and it stayed

Pros
  • Ripstop Fabric - This durable fabric prevents rips.
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

Pockets would be nice for the price.

These days it's hard to find the right clothes for a skinny and tall 5 year old. We barely fit in these pants and are considering going up a size, but so far it still fits him. An unexpected find, there are two holes on either side but no pockets! The design seems to suggest they are worn over other pants underneath and the vents are convenient for accessing the first pair's pockets. Well, in the real world, it rains when it's relatively warm outside and you're only wearing underwear…

Pros
  • Drawstring closure
Cons
  • disappears
