I had a group of friends trying Chinese food and we used these plates. They're a decent size, weight, and texture for eating. My problem came when I wanted to wash them and spent at least twice as long washing them as I would with a regular ceramic/glass top. I think if you just avoid using them on red/orange oilskin you'll be fine...but they just rub off. And since they're white, it's very obvious. I expect to appreciate them more for outdoors once it's warm enough to use my fire pit again…

They are too expensive to use except for more formal occasions and if so why not use real cymbals? Caterers can even rent actual plates for not much more than these when bought in bulk. I think I've seen similar plates at the supermarket for a lot less. Comparable plates are adorned with gold or silver embellishments around the edges, making them more formal. Some even come with faux silverware as part of the serving and still end up costing less than those mozaik plates if you're getting ready

These are nice plates because they are plastic and can be thrown away. Perfect for everyday indoor or outdoor entertaining without worrying about broken plates. I love that they can be hand washed (not dishwasher safe) so I can reuse them for an extra appointment or more. Or if I don't feel like washing all the dishes, I can just throw them away without much worry and write off the price of the entertainment!
