BIG except for one issue that really sucks.

I bought this board to build my new PC. My first in over a decade. I looked at the boards for weeks, then suddenly it appeared and I decided on: isryzen 7 build 5800xx570s tomahawk32gigs of g skill trident z neo 36002 WD m.2 drivesevga 3070ti ftw3 ultraartic Liquid Freezer 2 360mm A-rgbevga 750gtphanteks p500a rgb well built . It was heavier than expected and very durable. Everything went very smoothly and I had no problems other than 1. I'll get to that in a moment. I will repeat some of the…

Pros
  • Unleash Core Power: Advanced Heatsink Design, Core Boost, Digital PWM IC, 8+4 Pin CPU Power Headers, Game Boost, DDR4 Boost

Good gaming motherboard

Good motherboard that works as expected. Nearly. Wi-Fi 6E is a big reason I chose this board over others and it can't even see the 6GHz SSID of my ASUS AXE11000 router on Windows 10. Apparently the Intel driver that this board comes with is the one that supports what was removed. for a registry hack that allowed people to use their 6GHz band before Windows 10 officially supported it. On the Intel AX210 22.40 driver with my PCIE wireless card I used before. I still saw the 6E band, connected to…

Pros
  • Lightning Speed Gaming: PCIe 4.0, Lightning Gen4 x4 M.2 with M.2 Shield Frozr, StoreMI, AMD Turbo USB 3.2 Gen 2
Cons
  • Senior Citizen

Holy cow! What an upgrade from my old X470 MSI Gaming Pro Carbon!

It has been installed on my PC since the beginning of September 2020. I replaced the Gaming Pro Carbon with this and what a difference! ) and 2700X. With the Gaming Pro Carbon I was never able to get the memory to work reliably above 2933MHz. With this X570 Tomahawk, especially after using the updated AMD AGESA ComboAm4v2PI 1.1.0.0 Patch C, I can run the memory at 3200MHz very reliably with extremely short timings. If you're familiar with Ryzen processors, you know that it's difficult to use…

Pros
  • Supports DDR4 memory, up to 4600MHz
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Best VRMs in this price range

This is a thick and well built motherboard. I chose this modem in part for its well-received VRMs at this price point and build quality. Installation is as easy as most motherboards, and there's enough space around the CPU to support many AIOs and water coolers. on the 5800x no tweaks or tweaks). So why 3 stars? Mine arrived with bent pins on the front 20-pin USB connector that I had to straighten. ALL system fan headers are located at the bottom of the motherboard. Get ready to buy fan…

Pros
  • DDR4 memory supports up to 4600MHz
Cons
  • Damaged

Unrivaled board at 220; a reasonable option priced at 250

Competition in this price category. Premium build quality, high quality VRM/Mosfet, chipset fan that can handle heavy loads but runs silently below 70-80% speed, almost comically absurd amount of front and rear I/O support (one of the biggest advantages, to be honest). of this phone devices - that almost no case on the market supports ALL front inputs, but the Define 7 Compact comes close enough for me). It even comes with removable heatsinks for both m2 slots, complete with silicone thermal…

Pros
  • Supports 2nd and 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen/Ryzen Processors with Radeon Vega Graphics and 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen Processors with Radeon Graphics Desktop Processors for Socket AM4
Cons
  • Big and Chunky
