Great price, works great on MACBOOK PRO and High Sierra OS.

Works great on my new 2017 MacBook Pro. I had two Samsung Blu-ray/DVD burners that left a dark ring in the middle of Blu-ray and DVD discs and they didn't work. . I bought it out of desperation and because the price was low and so far it hasn't given me a single toaster after about 15 burns of BR and DVD. Yes, I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Buyers beware, $80 drive behaves like an $8 drive

"Plug and Play" is a little generous. After plugging in the drive, my computer recognizes the drive, it disappears, reappears, and makes my computer ring every second like it's panicking about the disappearing/flickering drive. I have to disconnect and reconnect it until it decides to connect. Sometimes I have to play this game for more than 10 minutes before I get a stable connection. Drive works great with 3rd party software

Works great with 3rd party software such as CyberLink's Power2Go10. not so much in Windows 7 or 10 format as a USB stick. When copying large amounts of data, Windows gets confused and leads to errors. Pwer2Go10 works great.

Doesn't come with software but it's nice and small, just what I was looking for. But the lack of software is really bad in my opinion as most free software really sucks and comes with malware/adware upon installation.

It's very reliable, but I copy and burn a lot of Blu-ray discs and it stops working.

This is pretty durable but I think it should have lasted at least 1 year and only 10 months. They refunded me most of my money because I paid for a square insurance or warranty and they were very nice and I ordered the Pioneer internal SATA Blu-ray burner.

Bought it mainly to rip my extensive CD collection.

I bought this primarily to rip my extensive CD collection to put on a media server. After ripping only 25 CDs, he stopped reading discs. Revain returns the money and I'm considering a replacement Pioneer BDR-XD05B.

This product sucks: Computers & Accessories

This poor product is very cheap. The USB port on the back fell off and is now unusable. waste of time and money. This is a disk reader in a cheap package, not worth a penny.
