The mechanism slides well for the watch. Hardware

Movement design flaw/insufficient power for the supplied hands. I noticed that when the minute hand reaches the 1 o'clock position, it suddenly slips about 5 minutes, so the movement is 5 minutes faster in the first quarter of an hour. What these clocks give, they take away, because in the third quarter of an hour the hand rolls back 5 minutes.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Non-automatic

Nice looks and good fit but very inaccurate timing

Initially I was very happy with the fit and finish but after spending a lot of time disassembling the watch and installing this movement, it was only after two days that i found it worked too fast. Now I have to take heavy watches off and recalibrate them every few days. I don't see any speed adjustment, so I guess I'll have to find another solution.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are imperfections

The package came in a soft envelope, the hands were bent and.

The package arrived in a soft envelope, the arms were bent and disfigured. Also the minute hand doesn't line up exactly, it has about 3 inches of play at the end, so it's 2-3 minutes slower when the hand goes up and 2-3 minutes faster when it goes down. (Just right for half an hour though.) My mum really wanted her watch to work so I kept it and cleaned up the mess but could have gotten a 5 star purchase with a little attention to detail.

The minute hand does not match the movement.

It should be an easy purchase. Hour, hour and minute hands. The hour hand is fine. The minute hand does not match the movement. The included minute hand had a small diameter brass lug. The movement featured a larger diameter shaft with two flats. This is a complete mismatch. Luckily I have tools and a 3D printer. I drilled a brass grommet to enlarge the hole. I then designed and 3D printed the adapter. After 3 iterations I had a good fit and working time. Unless you plan on looking for a…

Disappointed with this particular spare part

Unfortunately it didn't help me. I installed washers (black and brass) and arrows as instructed, plus a small black "end" piece. The clock ran all night but stopped. New Duracell battery. The hands will not get stuck from jamming or bending etc. I recently repaired another watch with a Revain movement but of a different model (different size hands). I repaired a grandfather clock and a small clock last year, so understandably I don't see myself as an amateur but as a professional. I think we…

Long arms need high torque!

UPDATE: less than 4 months later this movement has died. It was starting to lose time, so I assumed the battery was the culprit; but no, with a fresh battery it got slower and slower until it stopped moving altogether. I have a feeling this mechanism is labeled "high torque" but actually isn't able to move those long arms without breaking. It is a pity! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have one of those giant DIY wall clocks and the mechanism inside has finally given up. I knew I needed a high torque…
