Mullingar Pewter Pocket Shamrock Mechanical Review

I was looking for something distinctive to add to my Men's Fashion wardrobe, and this pocket watch was the perfect choice. Its Irish charm mechanism captures the essence of the country beautifully. Through trial and error, I found that it requires careful winding, but it's well worth the effort for such a lovely item.

I love wind-up watches because I don't have to worry about the battery dying when I need the watch. I wind it up every day and it shows the correct time. One thing I really like is how I feel when I start it when it's about to be completed. Before that I had a watch that I put back, but on this one I feel a touch and I know the winding has stopped.

Although it looks like the photo I wish it was clear that there is no real glass. The "glass" covers on the front and back are actually plastic. And feel pretty cheap as the large "front" also clicks and moves/clicks easily. They scratch easily, and for $50, two tiny pieces of glass don't seem particularly expensive.
