There's a reason they're so cheap. The German pens themselves are very beautiful. However: the hardware leaves a lot to be desired: - don't over tighten or you'll break the gold base parts and once they break it's VERY difficult to get them back to their original shape - some of the washers/threads on some of the bolts weren't tight so I had to go to the local hardware store and buy more washers. - The pucks on the ends are VERY easy to bend and can scratch you as you walk past and actually…

Pros: The pens are beautiful and at a great price. They come with a washer and nut. The bolt goes through the front of the handle and is secured with a nut. Each pen was different; no repetitions. Cons: The screw has no recess for using a screwdriver to tighten it, so it is difficult to tighten it firmly. 4 out of 25 handles did not have a screw through the middle but were flat.
