I have replaced all the steel tees on my hex and diamond lures with these brass hooks. When catching ling and other marine fish in rock formations, it is easy to catch on the bottom. With steel hooks this can sometimes lead to loss of bait (expensive). However, with enough pressure, the brass hooks will flex, releasing the bait for future use. And they are strong enough to get stuck in the mouth of a big fish. It's worth it!

I use a size 5/0 for paddling from the bank and these hooks penetrate skin easily and hold tight. Last year my son caught a 72 pound rod with these hooks and we fish in fast currents and because we fish in muddy water at high tide you can't see the fish so it's almost always mid-body or mid-body Tail catches, rarely head. There is so much pressure on these hooks and they hold.

Bought these to replace triple hooks on vintage Rapala baits. I had to check what brand Rapala uses. These hooks are good for kids you don't want to hurt, they are very boring compared to other brands available. They go in the box never to be used. I don't recommend them if you're looking for sharp hooks to catch fish with. Mustard was considered a good brand when I was younger, times have changed and Mustard hasn't updated their tool.
