Very handy to have some of these around.

Ideal for those small vehicle wiring harnesses that you are not 100% sure you want to use permanently. Strong clasp, plastic feels flexible and not brittle. The weather/water seal doesn't appear to be very tight, but seems to seal the connector effectively. I tested a set and after an hour on the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket the inside of the male/male end was still bone dry. I'm not sure I'll use it underwater all the time, but it's good for car lights that may get rained on.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • High price

Inexpensive 16 or 18 gauge connectors

Fit, form and function as expected. Wire gauge is 16 or 18, made from stranded copper wire. I noticed this with my stripping tools. The wire size on the wire is not specified. Gotta love this import. Copper strands can be soldered well. I was surprised by the wire harnesses I bought from AMAZON that use aluminum stranded wires which are almost impossible to solder. Connections (male and female) are solid. You are a pen (not a blade) in a socket. I squeezed in a dot of dielectric grease to…

Poor quality control caused an accident

They were used for a lanyard emergency switch for a lawnmower. Long story short, I let go of the handles when I was hit in the face by a holly sprig, the noose pulled the fuse out of the body as it should, and the mower continued through the fence. The reason for this was the ground wire on the plug, which was not fully inserted into the housing at the factory. It looked like it was on both sides, but it wasn't good enough contact for good ground. If anyone is familiar with how these housings…

Gives DIY electrical work a professional look!

I bought these so I can make my own "factory" connections when I wire up my truck. My last project was replacing the horns on my Ford Ranger. I removed the horn bracket, connected the two new horns together, and since the horn clips were generic and didn't match the factory wiring harness, I cut off the Ford connector and replaced it with this one! (female end on truck wire, male end on horns) I can still disconnect and remove horns for servicing now instead of hardwiring them. If I ever change

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

I bought these to connect LED lights outside under my 5 wheel trailer and to connect external low power devices like parking lights and backup alarms. For this purpose they work quite well. At first I wrote a scathing review, but the company contacted me and sent me 10 more pairs to use. These new connectors are much better than the ones I originally had. They actually have seals that keep water out well and none of them came together like my first set. They have been in operation for a year…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • So far so good

Great connector for working with ATVs and cars

Exactly what I was looking for to connect LED lights to my ATV. I don't think wiring directly to accessories is the best method as it complicates maintenance, removal and replacement. A fast connection facilitates maintenance and subsequent replacement on the go. I wasn't expecting them to be submersible but they seem waterproof enough to allow for a hassle free bike wash after a ride like all factory bikes. Connections. I would recommend using dielectric grease inside the connector and gluing…

  • Not bad but...

Looks pretty solid

Decent connectors with 16 gauge wire. The wire strands appear to be pure copper - not cheap copper clad aluminum scrap or worse, pure aluminum wire that many Revain vendors sell (often without telling you). Use them to quickly separate stone lanterns mounted under the Wranger connector. A male/female connection will be handy at first, so I took all 5 and plugged/unplugged a few times to loosen them up a bit. Looks like a decent build - no wires coming out of the pinholes etc and the yellow…

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Interchangeable

CHEAP WASTE - loses water. Get a real Weather Pack Connector.

Original review: They connect easily and seem reliable. A clear click can be heard when connecting. EDIT: DO NOT BUY! They are NOT "waterproof" at all! I've used them in the automotive industry and after a few hours of light rain they're fully closed. I had to turn them off and spray them with WD-40 and silicone grease to get all the water out. Not only are they waterproof, they appear to have some corrosion. It looks like water got into the junction of the wires with the plastic case. What's…
