Both bad news and good news

First the bad news. Five months ago I bought a set of these black ink cartridges and two sets of these color ink cartridges well before I needed them. When I installed them recently, my Epson XP-7100 recognized the black ink cartridges but NONE of the color cartridges. I was disappointed because the product description said they would work with my printer. And now the good news. The seller allowed me to return the cartridges for a refund even though the return period had already passed. Thanks…

Pros
  • There is something to it
Cons
  • There are problems

Update 2/3: Of course, Epson won't support cartridges that don't belong to them. Remember, don't make any changes until you've used all the ink. Then buy the latest updated firmware version from the manufacturers. The product is reliable and profitable. Please note that Epson will not support your printer if you install these cartridges. This is not my theory, Epson tech support told me about it today. I updated my firmware and my printer no longer recognizes the cartridges and is not working…

Pros
  • High test results for support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models

NO PROBLEMS WITH EPSON XP-830

The Epson XP-830 recognizes and prints with these cartridges without any problems. So far, so good. If they continue to work perfectly I will definitely order again. I have the latest firmware update, NP0815. I just reordered when I saw they were on sale at a reduced price. I can't predict how well they will work in the long run, but to date they are working great in my printer. I wouldn't be put off by the 2 and 1 star reviews stating their printing company refused to use them. You falsify the

ACCEPTED by my Epson XP-830!

I was very annoyed that Epson hard-coded Epson ink authentication into their firmware update a few months ago. I have tried different brands of third party inks but the XP-830 always rejected them. I reluctantly paid full price for her ink since the wife worked from home and the kids went to college. We needed a printer! I decided to give this ink a try after several reviewers said it worked with their machines and BOY am I glad I did! For about half the price, this ink worked great and printed

Works great, economical

Ordered a full set of custom cartridges for my Epson printer. Installation was easy. My printer didn't recognize new cartridges at first, I cycled it, then went back to the steps on the printer screen to replace the cartridges and all went well. The ink is what I expected from an OEM replacement. I will buy again. Much cheaper than my local store.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • boring packaging

Does NOT work on my Espson XP-850

Literally this month on August 2nd 2020 I installed Black 410XL from this ink set. The printer says yes, but it doesn't print. I've cleaned the heads (multiple times), removed and reinstalled (multiple times). Even tried print alignment. Nothing made it work. So, biting the dust, I bought a genuine Epson brand ink set for a much larger sum. Today I replaced black with Epson ink and wow! Works perfectly! FYI, I used a few other colors in this set. Although still working, the ink levels show that

Frustrating - printer should work -

When I installed new ink cartridges, the following message appeared on the printer screen: REPLACE INK CARTRIDGE AND CLOSE SCANNER UNIT .) (Y) 410, 410XL. The printer does not work because of this message. Should I return all 5 cartridges or will you help me? Please advise what you will do. Richard Koebertrjk121@verizon.net

Pros
  • Ease of use
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for elderly

It's just as good.

When I first bought this ink I couldn't use it in my Epson printer because it didn't recognize it. However, I found a pretty tricky workaround that now detects it. The only thing is that every now and then a message pops up indicating a new firmware update is what caused the problem in the first place. I just click OK to continue and the cartridges continue to work. I've read that newer versions of myCartridge no longer have this problem, but I'm hesitant to use an update and fix the problem…
