The rasp on this file is very aggressive and works on large calluses with ease. Because it's so aggressive, you'll need a thin rasp or pumice stone to smooth the skin after use. In terms of build quality, the handle is plastic but holds up really well. with the file does not stay in my file. I took off one star because of the poor fit of the case. We've been using the Ped-Egg for about 10 years and the calluses get thicker with age making them harder to tame. . It will take a lot less time and effort to remove calluses - you have to be careful not to remove too many. Ideal for use in the shower to lock in all the dander. The wipes don't seem to do much, they seem to be water based cleansers with no moisturizing effect, don't know what they are for.
