strong chemical smell

They were delivered in the AZ summer heat and the bag has a strong chemical smell - put them outside to see if they are 'on gas'. Doesn't plan to eat. guitar strap buckles. Will be updated if there are problems

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • I won't say anything

For guitars and guitar accessories

Bought to make straps for several of my guitars. I also put a few under the knobs on my guitar pedals to keep settings from shifting. Other than that, I have more than enough to give to all my buddies.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Disappear

Not LD Carlson as pictured.

Wrong item shown. They are from a different company, a slightly different color and appear to be more solid. Looks like they should work but frustrated with the lack of representation from the HomeBrewStuff seller.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great Substitute: Home Brewing & Winemaking

I repurposed a couple flip top beer bottles for kombucha. They were a little tight to get on the china plates but they fit great. I look forward to using them and then ordering more when they reach the end of their useful life.

Pros
  • Always Loved
Cons
  • Can't remember

Great for home brewing

Great for home brewing. I use them for 11 oz, 16 oz and 1 liter Grolsch bottles. They are thick and make a great seal. I use them several times, cleaning, turning and sanitizing each time. I haven't had any issues and they work better than the flimsy seals that usually accompany bottles.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Some flaws

Guitar strap buckles - yes.

I bought these to secure my guitar straps and when there is room on the strap button they do the job well. I didn't have to buy 100 of course, but I see it this way: it's a small investment for a lifetime supply and I think I'll find other ways to use it.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Upgrades available

Works great, great value

I use these strap fasteners on some of my vintage guitars. They work really well for this, but I definitely don't need 100 of them! Well I guess I have a backup now. But basically, how it works is simple. Place the guitar strap on the strap button on the guitar, take the rubber washer and place it on top of the strap on the button and you have a strap buckle. Works great, is cheap and you don't have to rebuild your guitar anyway.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Almost never

not always the LD Carlson pads you see in the photo

I have been ordering them individually for years and have always received a pack of red LD Carlson pads as pictured. That's great. However, I recently ordered 2 packs (2 pack) and received a pack of unlabeled orange pads. They clearly gave up. The holes were not centered. I returned them. Just order 1 and maybe you will be fine. Let's see I just returned 200 and ordered 1 pack. I hope I get what is advertised.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Great belt buckles for guitarists/bassists!

I use these as strap locks on my Gibson Les Paul Studio. I only use one strap on the shaft of my guitar, not the neck, as I bought a pair of metal strap buckles and could only use one of the two because Gibson uses different sized screws for each end of the strap. . I really don't know why they aren't marketed to guitarists/bassists because I have no idea why anyone would want replacement grolsch lager bottle liners. UPDATE JULY 2019: They're still here. Still using the same pair on my Gibson…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Repair
