Felt. FLOOR PROTECTOR: Whether on oak parquet, cork or stone, the wool felt furniture sliders with fastening screws offer scratch protection to sensitive flooring surfaces. Chair legs or table legs slide softly without squeaks or scrapes. SUPERIOR HOLD: Screw the parquet glides into the chair, table, sofa or cabinet feet for long-lasting protection against floor damage. Unlike self-adhesive pads, they won't slip to the side or leave sticky glue residues on wood, marble or PVC floors. DELIVERY: You'll receive a value pack of 50x 3/4 inch (20mm) felt furniture pad sliders in brown. HOW TO USE: First, using an electric drill, drill holes in the position you wish to place the pad. Once holes have been drilled, simply attach the felt gliders by using the screws provided in the set with a cordless screwdriver. BLACK OR BROWN: Each size felt pad comes in either black or brown. Giving you the option to choose the color and size which best suits your furniture.

very small screwable furniture fittings

My chairs had a hole in the leg that was too big for a screw. I used an old carpenter's rope to make the hole smaller. Just take wooden toothpicks, stick them in the hole until the hole is full, then break them flush with the leg. There is no need to drill the pads and then screw them in.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • out of fashion

Inelastic for furniture pads

I decided when I was in doubt, but I already have to replace the first set on my most used chair because it no longer slides easily. I haven't tested them yet, but I suspect the pad is worn out. I think I'll buy a rubber-wrapped set when I've finished this box.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons

Screws not as pictured

I was able to install them quickly with a drill/screwdriver. They stick to the legs of the chairs. The previously used adhesive pads kept slipping off. A disappointment. The thread is not the same as in the picture. The steps are much flatter than pictured. This makes it easier for the screws to drill the hole. I cut two holes out of 14 by setting the screwdriver to low torque. The pilot holes were the same as the smaller screw diameter.

Adds height - buy more than you need

I had to throw away some because the screw heads come off so easily. I'm also wondering if the overlay will break in the future, will the screw heads damage my wooden floors? On the other hand, once mounted correctly (use the right drill bit for beginners!), they are significantly more stable than the felt pads I used before. They also increase the height of the chair more than expected, but not too much I think. Time will tell if that was the right decision.

Pros
  • Hands free working
Cons
  • Some problems

I wish I had found her sooner!

After many years of regularly replacing the felt pads on the undersides of dining room chairs, I discovered these screw-in pads. Installation was easy: after tearing off the nailed plastic pads that I had attached the old felt pads to, I was left with a good pilot hole to drill the screw-on pads into the chair legs. I enlarged the holes with a 1/8" drill bit to mount the screws and screwing in the pads was easy. The chairs glide over hardwood floors much more easily than sticky pads and the…
