Very poor reception, long time to first reception, no support for advanced open source functions

Pros: 1Hz sync signal, actually GPS Cons: 1: It won't pick up a signal more than 1ft from a 6' x 4' window in a frame house, even if it's itself metal siding or something like that.2 : It takes about 45 minutes when you click on the window to get the first fix, although it only takes a few seconds after that. 3: I haven't searched extensively, but the defaults aren't great and it doesn't look like there's an easy way to change them without downloading proprietary software. It would be great ifโ€ฆ

Amazing first impression but 50% success rate

I ordered two of these a few weeks apart. The first one worked INCREDIBLY well. I turned on the antenna, threw it on the workbench and connected the power supply via USB. Within a very short time 3D was corrected to start at 1PPS and the LED started blinking. If you turn it on afterwards, it restores the fix within a few seconds of turning it on. Unbelievable! I was able to use the 1PPS output for my project and it just worked despite the many insults I gave it. So I bought a second one. Theโ€ฆ

Used for timing application

I bought this GPS receiver module to use as a time reference in my digital clock. It catches the satellite perfectly while I'm in my house. I didn't have to change any settings of the GPS module itself. I hooked it up to a NodeMCU esp8266 controller and it worked as expected with the NTP GPS server from the Tasmota firmware. Tasmota does not use the PPS (Pulse Per Second) signal available from this module, so this configuration is not a high-fidelity NTP server. But that is not due to the GPSโ€ฆ
