Would recommend to anyone for event photography

This jib crane is ideal for wedding photography. Works indoors and outdoors, giving me the freedom to move with the camera while ceremonies and receptions are filmed. The arm slides up and down smoothly and keeps my camera in a secure position, which was my biggest concern, but no performance issues here! Incredibly long, stretchy arms for long-distance shooting. Fits perfectly on all my tripods. I recommend it to everyone for vacation photography.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Don't trust the weight of the cargo.

I am very skeptical that an 8kg camera can be mounted on this boom. It all feels too cheap and flimsy to support 15lbs on the load side and 25-30lbs on the counterweights to make it all work. Including 2 pound counterweight threads on the back of the boom, unlike anything I've seen on other weight plates, makes it difficult to find additional counterweights installed. Neewer doesn't sell records to match their boom. Again, I'm skeptical that you can actually download this as they advertise. I…

The price is worth it.$: Video

We needed shots that reach the ground from 8 feet. The SteadiCam couldn't capture high and low mode images with the same setting, the vertical sliders weren't stable enough, and handheld shooting wasn't stable enough. Obviously he needs an operator crane, but our crane started at 15 feet. He couldn't fit into the small spaces. A lot of the smaller cranes couldn't handle the 10-18 pound camera rig we had. meet our needs. With liquid (not shown in the photo) the faucet barely met our needs. It…

It is very smooth and with practice you can get very good results.

Well if you are a videographer or director you know you need a crane. Will you use the faucet all the time? No, but if the shot counts, the crane is the next level. This faucet works as intended. It's very smooth and with practice you can really get some really good shots. But be careful not to put your fingers between the bars, as moving up and down will close the gap. Set up is easy though - lock the crane onto the tripod, then attach the camera, but don't tighten anything yet, place the…

Great value for money

It took me a while to figure out how to find these "arrow" items. I'm neither a photographer nor a producer, so I did a lot of research on the internet. At some point I came across the term "jib" and then came across this product. I have lightweight Neewer softboxes as shown in my attached photo and was hesitant to try their boom. Their lightweight softboxes are pretty flimsy and pretty fragile, but they're affordable, as is this dart. However, this staysail was the cheapest I've seen from…

I'm going to have a lot of fun with this jib arm!

I am very impressed with the build quality of this product. Durable metal, good fittings and many mounting options (on a tripod or light stand, as well as on various options for mounting the camera). Small details such as spirit levels make assembly easier. Unlike another device I own, the spot where the counterweight attaches is very heavily reinforced with thick metal and the weights are bolted on (no more need to accidentally drop the camera on the floor when that weight falls). The BEST…
