Great way to add a tool to a perforated panel

I used to use magnetic discs that screwed into holes in a perforated panel and I like them. This product is no different - it works well although the magnet is a bit weaker and the tool has a rubber surface instead of a metal plate which won't scratch them. The 1.75" washer set comes with two sizes of screws (for two sizes of holes on the hole plate). Screw the correct size into the magnet, tighten with a small screwdriver, then screw the screw/magnet into the Hole plate and tighten hand. The…

Better than I imagined!

Magnets come with two sets of screws, one set for 1/4" hole plates and one set for 1/8" hole plates. The magnets are strong, but not insanely strong. I could safely set up a 12 ounce hammer with a magnet, but not a 15 ounce hammer. However, being too strong can be a problem. When I tried to remove the square I installed I managed to get the magnet right out of the pegboard. This is really more of a quality issue with my breadboard than the magnet. If this happens again I'll have to think about…

  • Magnet Hook
Cons
  • Big and Chunky

According to the description it fits most perforated plates but does not say which. I have a perforated Wall Control Steel Panel and it's not working. The small screw was too small and the big screw was too big so it couldn't be tightened properly at all. I thought I might have issues with the size of the screw since it's a perforated metal plate, but I wasn't worried about that because I wanted the screw to be an extra layer of security to keep the magnet from slipping. I didn't know only one…
