Nerf Walkie Talkie Battery Powered Review

Loud static noise is heard all the time. It was the first time we used it and it's still there. it's annoying. Don't skimp on listening to them. That's why they're cheap. That means they work, the range is good. Also note that there is a morse code beep button that kids aged 5 and under like to just hold down for a long time. Aggravating.

This is garbage. Absolute rubbish. I knew they would be low quality in terms of range (but thought they would be good for backyard play) but don't actively generate hate. In addition to the loud static noise they make all the time (no volume control to reduce the noise!), they have a "morse code" key that adds loud chimes to the mix! The requirement for a 9-volt battery is also annoying. I recommend only buying them for the children of your worst enemies.

It was a good price so I bought these for my 8 year old. Unfortunately I wasn't impressed. They are quite large compared to the newer smaller models (albeit more expensive) and sound very raspy. You can hear each other, but it's a little annoying (at least for Mom). I was also expecting them to have some nerf material for protection but that wasn't the case. It's just chunky hard plastic. I wish they were better for the price but they are practically useless. They look kid-friendly, are easy to hold and easy to use, but that's where the good points of these walkie-talkies end. They are full of noise and you can hardly hear anyone even if you are in the next room. We ordered two sets of these headphones and both made it almost impossible to hear anyone. Many things about this product are not very good. First, it has all this background noise that doesn't even let you hear what the person on the other side is saying. Therefore, if the person you are speaking to is not within 10 meters, you will not be able to hear them. Second, it doesn't even work from 2100 feet away. These things make a terrible noise like white noise but amplify it 10 times. They don't work remotely. Poor quality. Cheap. Do not work. waste of money. My 8 year old son spent his own money to buy these and he was so excited to have walkie talkies to go with his nerf guns. Shortly after the return window closed, they stopped working. I was able to change the batteries (every few days) and they worked intermittently for a while, but past the 3 month mark they sucked.
