If you like SSD drive hot as a frying pan!

It gets very hot and the write speed drops to less than 100MB per second. I doubt it will last very long. Pay extra for Samsung or SanDisk!

Fast External Drive

Very light but with good build and build quality. It feels like it's all metal, which means it gets REALLY hot. Make sure it's on a hard, flat surface; Avoid pillows and soft insulating fabrics. Comes with both USB-C cables and legacy USB-A cables. I needed both, as it turned out! Came formatted ExFAT; Compatible with Win/Mac out of the box. Reformatted to macOS Extended (Journaled) with no problems. Anyway, Time Machine recognized it as a suitable backup destination. Using BlackMagic Disk…

Good compact portable hard drive.

product works well. I used it to transfer pictures from an Android phone to a MS Windows computer. The device is very small and light.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • some problems

Faster than before.

Now it can be started in 15-20 seconds compared to 2-3 minutes before. Everything can start faster, the SSD gives the impression that for a faster computer I used clones, cloned every drive and used an external hard drive to quickly swap drives just in case.

Tested on USB-C 3.1 port, max 777MB/s write and 837MB/s read

Summary: The max speed I tested before is about 540MB/s read, this speed reached 837MB/s . My computer is a few years old, so only 3.1, so the 980MB/s read speed claim seems plausible, but I haven't been able to verify it. Details: Primary desktop computer - Dell XPS 8920. System drive - 250 GB. SSD. Two more hard drives for data, 1.0 TB and 6.0 TB. External USB ports: USB-C 3.1 (rear), USB-A 3.1 (rear), USB-A 3.0 (front). Test method: I use the test program ATTO Disk Benchmark (free). I tried…

The transfer speed is a bit disappointing but enough for me

This portable drive definitely offers enough space for those who want a lot of storage space while keeping the device compact. It's extremely portable and slightly thicker than a standard flash drive. However, it's longer than a standard flash drive, but not by much. Based on the size alone, I would guess that an M2 SSD is used internally to keep the device small. However, it heats up only slightly in standby mode, but remains the same temperature during and after the transfer. Overall, thanks…
