Modem Nethir. Faulty equipment! Returned

Choose this modem based on price and reviews and this modem will be on the TWC recommendation list. Installation and activation in less than 20 minutes. The modem worked fine for about 10 days. We then started getting messages about unavailable websites when surfing the web. They got more frequent until yesterday our internet went on and off every 4-8 minutes. I restarted my system several times and then called TWC. I called TWC several times, checked for errors 4-5 times and in the end weโ€ฆ

Worked great right after turning it on, but the connection speed dropped shortly after.

I have a service speed of 70Mbps and everything was great right after I turned it on - soon after that everything stopped being great. Went from testing >100Mbps to 5Mbps to 25Mbps within an hour and stayed just awful until another reboot "fixed" it for a few minutes. It also appeared as if the data transfer completely stopped for a few minutes despite claiming to be connected to the internet. It would never have caught my eye 10 years ago, but with two people trying to work from home it was

Serious technical problem! Please READ

START OVERVIEW: This modem was purchased to replace another NETGEAR modem that was one month out of warranty. This one only lasted a month so I'm replacing it with another of the same kind. I'll try again - will update this review if the new one lasts longer. UPDATED REVIEW: Alright, the new device started having the same issues after just a few weeks. I decided to investigate this further and here is what I found. This modem uses an embedded chip called "Puma 6". This chipset has a known issue
