Unreliable Router, Do Not Buy

My analysis of this product showed that it is not suitable for my computing needs. It fails to maintain a stable connection and frequently drops signals. The only redeeming quality is its sleek design.

Problematic installation

Not much to check as I couldn't install the device or get the installation wizard. And I have a degree in Information Technology. As an IT professional, I have a zero-tolerance policy toward "broken" or "difficult-to-install" new hardware. If you follow the instructions verbatim and it doesn't work the way it should, it will fall behind. I'm not going to spend hours with a first level support person trying to figure out what's going on. The device does not work as advertised or as described.

I love my ZyWALLs which are for networking products

I love ZyXEL firewalls, I've installed literally hundreds of them at different companies over the years, all different models and they are very stable and reliable. I even had a few lightning strikes and kept running. They'll last forever or until you decide to upgrade to a faster newer model. Keep in mind that these are very powerful professional grade firewalls that can frustrate the average consumer with minimal computer networking knowledge/training. If you know how to programโ€ฆ
