Some people say if you get a tingle, it works. I don't know if that's true. But it tingles. And it works very well against dandruff. The only downside is that it can dry out your face if you don't moisturize it after every shower. I didn't really notice a smell, which is good; I don't like strong perfumes.

I have a very sensitive scalp. i have greasy hair When it gets dirty, it starts to itch badly and flake off badly. I also dye my hair red. The chemicals in the paint always irritate my scalp and make it very itchy and flaky. Before coloring my hair I applied a high strength gel and it worked wonders. I use this product in combination with T/Gel and zinc bar for seborrheic dermatitis on face and scalp. Dermatitis is difficult to combat and this product will help keep the situation under control. It's light blue in color, the same thick consistency, and smells like Selsun Blue (which I no longer use). But not as smelly as T/Gel. highlighted.

I have used the original Neutrogena T Gel formula on occasion and it has worked well for me. I was expecting it to be a similar product based on the name.
