Good tennis shoes, though.

Great reviews on these shoes but they are tight as they use a sleeve instead of a tongue. The lock is magnificent and must be picked before you are comfortable. I had to go half size especially if you use thick Thorlos tennis socks. This is geared more towards speed but still has some support.

Pros
  • The anatomical design follows the shape of the foot for a natural and comfortable fit.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for people with neuropathy or other nerve disorders.

Good support when playing tennis

Provides excellent support when playing tennis. I didn't really care about the color, but the price I paid was really good, so I didn't mind the color.

Pros
  • My son likes the shoes very much. When the sole broke under heavy use, they immediately sent us a new one. Very smart.
Cons
  • Shoes can be difficult to clean or maintain

Durability issue or faulty shoes

These shoes were great for comfort, grip and even style. However, the outsole on one of the shoes started peeling off after just a month of use, playing around once or twice a week. They started falling apart shortly after the return window closed, so I can't say if this is a single fault or if it's likely happening with every pair.

Pros
  • A high arch support and spacious toe box prevent foot fatigue, injuries and blisters.
Cons
  • Shoes can be badly designed

Problem with this shoe design

This shoe features a sock-like opening rather than a traditional tongue that makes it impossible to slip your foot through the opening if you have a wide foot or foot of almost any size. It's a shame that such a beautiful shoe was designed so badly, what were the New Balance employees thinking?

Pros
  • Fresh Foam technology provides excellent comfort and cushioning during long games or workouts.
Cons
  • Shoes can be too tight around the ankles

DO NOT BUY - my review

Don't buy these shoes. After less than a month of wearing twice a week for paired running shoes, I already have a few holes in the running shoes. For shoes that are positioned as durable, this is unacceptable. I contacted the company and they offered to replace the shoes with a 6 month warranty but did not refund my purchase so I was able to purchase a solid shoe indeed. In the future I will buy Adidas Barricade or Asics Gel Clearance and avoid New Balance.

Pros
  • I like it
Cons
  • Shoes may not provide adequate traction on slippery surfaces.

Do not buy from this seller

The shoes came and didn't fit, I ordered the same size as previous orders but these were very tight at the toes. I sent them back because they didn't fit and they charged a $30 restocking fee. I will never order from them again.

Pros
  • Very convenient for indoor and outdoor activities like pickleball, tennis, etc.
Cons
  • Bought these shoes for outdoor pickleball on Jan 11th. I'm frustrated, the glue around the sole is peeling off the shoe.

Great yard show, my second pair!

This is an extra pair of the same model so I can change shoes. I use them for Pickleball, a tennis game. Great grip but safe to play on the pitch. They are as advertised and of excellent quality.

Pros
  • I love it when they play pickleball.
Cons
  • I ordered a pair of wide ones that weren't wide enough.

Beautiful as expected. in my opinion

My husband loves the look of them. He's 13 4e wide and found them a bit narrower than his new Balance Fresh foam but still comfortable. No complaints.

Pros
  • I order for the third time. So fulfilling, but not so durable
Cons
  • The product is way too small. The size is not exact. It is difficult to fit the foot in the shoes.

New Balance design fiasco. DO NOT BUY!

Do not buy! Although the discount is tempting, believe me these are the worst tennis shoes you have ever seen. Too low toe design almost broke my nails in half. Because with every run you inevitably hit the hard plastic in front with your toe and thereby bend your nails. It only lasted three days and I had to freeze my legs with ice to relieve the pain. Sorry for the picture but I just had to show you what they did to my toes.

Pros
  • Very good
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for people with high arches.

My vision too narrow

Widely ordered and still could not put the shoes on. The hole is narrow and sewn to the tongue so that the wide foot does not slip in the shoe. Terrible design!

Pros
  • Take 0.5 of the normal size you wear. Amazing shoes. Good cushioning too.
Cons
  • Shoes can wear out prematurely.

Finally they fit perfectly

I love the 996 and 896 heels, but their fit was inconsistent, especially on the more expensive pairs. New fresh foam Lav V! fits perfectly. Was able to jump right into pickleball games for 2 hours and they did a great job.

Pros
  • Fits perfectly out of the box. There is a shoe sock. Keeps feet firmly planted
Cons
  • Shoes may be too wide for users with narrower feet.

Great shoes! Lightweight and very comfortable.

Bought this shoe to replace a Nike shoe that lasted less than 4 months and played about 5 hours a week. I've been using them for 1 month so can't comment on durability yet, but the shoes seem very reliable. What I can say now is that the shoe is probably the most comfortable tennis shoe I have ever owned. In addition, they are very light and have excellent grip even on sand, and they are marked as hard court shoes. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great tennis shoes.

Pros
  • The durable, solid outsole offers excellent traction and support on a variety of surfaces.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be flexible enough for some users.

Comfortable and great looking

I bought these pumps to play pickleball and they are very comfortable, fit my foot well and look great. Most people ask me where I bought them so they can get a pair. I actually saw them from a guy I play PB with and that's why I bought them!

Pros
  • New Balance shoes fit better than other brands
Cons
  • The size is too small, not a standard size. The item was defective and not recyclable.

These shoes are not very good right out of the box. Here are some of the questions. There is no tongue in the shoe and the upper part under the laces is a sock integrated into the shoe. So it's not a shoe you put on quickly. When I finally put them on, there were a few hot spots on the toes of my feet. The shoe is quite snug, but I explained that by ordering the regular width and not the roomy size that New Balance is known for. Despite the bad first impression, I fell in love with these shoes.

Pros
  • Very comfortable and stable.
Cons
  • Shoes may not fit well for some users.

Huge drop from heel to toe

The heel-to-toe heel (12mm+) was too big for me to be comfortable with, and large heels tend to exacerbate the hamstringitis I suffer from. I can understand how people like these shoes but they are not for me.

Pros
  • VERY comfortable, durable and stylish. Exactly what you expect from a tennis shoe.
Cons
  • The 7W pairs perfectly with one of the best tennis shoes I've ever worn.

They are worth their money at any price!

Fantastic looking shoes and great on the tennis court. The cushion looks like you have springs in your shoes with tight ankles and foot support.

Pros
  • The lace-up closure offers a secure and customized fit for all foot types.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for people with foot problems.

Bought 2 pairs, 125.00 per pair and they don't last

Bought 2 pairs for paddling season to wear alternately so they last longer. I play 2-3 times a week and both pairs shot in less than 5 months.

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain with minimal effort and time
Cons
  • Shoes can have poor grip on some surfaces.

Great tennis shoe with great cushioning.

I'm 6'2, 198 pounds and a 5.0 player. I need something with good cushioning to protect my knees and body. These are the best shoes for it. And yes, better than the Asics resolutions I use. Great work NB! It's good to see that NB is no longer a shoe company that only makes white shoes for the elderly. Now they're a "cool" brand again. I highly recommend.

Pros
  • Affordable price compared to other high-end tennis shoe brands.
Cons
  • Shoes can cause leg fatigue

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great shoe but takes 2-3 games to break in.

This is my third pair of these shoes. After years of playing Adidas, I developed chronic arch pain. Someone recommended New Balance and the difference was amazing. After 2 days the pain was gone. However, the shoes felt like walking across the court in 2X4 shoes. When they released Fresh Foam I decided to give it a try. They all start tight and hard. but after about 6-7 hours they are put on like gloves and have great cushioning for a shoe sole. I would recommend if you have the patience to…

Pros
  • best price
Cons
  • Shoes only come in one color option

Works best by size in my review

These shoes really work on the court. They fit perfectly or as close to perfect as possible. I've always felt cramped in most shoes. I ordered a size larger. Not with these 12 widths, they fit great. I very much look forward to buying more shoes from New Balance especially when wide shoes are available. And hey, you can't get better quality than Made in USA. Great gaming shoes

Pros
  • Great shoes so far. The mesh lining is a little annoying, but that will go away.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be breathable enough for hot weather.
