👟 New Balance Trainer Castlerock Sulphur Men's Shoes: Optimal Performance and Style Review

Bought these for my husband who fell in love with a pair of 517 V1's I bought him. He has an extremely flat 4E and was impressed by the softness of the v1. He wanted a spare pair in a different color but they didn't fit his width so I ordered a v2 instead. Apart from the optics, he told me that the v2 also fit differently. The toe is not that deep and there was no comfortable insole. So they returned.

As a woman with very wide feet - 3E or 4E depending on the manufacturer - my pediatrician advised me to wear men's tennis shoes as they are wide and will give me more heel space. Welcome to New Balance! While each style may vary slightly depending on what it's made of, I'm very happy with all of my New Balance styles, both in terms of looks and comfort. Being a 9.5 male, I can't always look for "cute" stylish women's shoes, so they fit me.

The new Bal9 is cheaper than version 2. The outer mesh is a thin fabric and doesn't feel very durable. Version 1. They are of much better quality.

These shoes are comfortable but feel thin and offer little cushioning even with normal walking. I also feel very little support in my foot. I've been a New Balance customer for a number of years, but this is the first time I've been disappointed with one of their products. I will buy New Balance again but not this shoe.

I bought the same sneakers about a year ago and loved them so I bought another pair to have when the others wear out. But after wearing them for a while I realized they weren't as good as the older pair and my legs really hurt. They don't offer much support and seem cheap!

The style/look of these New Balance shoes caught my attention, mostly because they were even worth chasing. As an elderly person, I have relied on the NB brand for years to meet the needs of my problem feet, both in terms of width accessibility and overall comfort. What made my problems worse was the fact that I had foot surgery in June and was unable to wear any of my previous shoes/trainers. After trying a few other styles these 517 V2 cross trainers fit me perfectly. Delivery was great too!

I received these 517V2 today and immediately noticed that they are narrower. I've worn a New Balance 11 1/2 4E for as long as I can remember. I took them out of the box and found that they were too tight. I tried them and they were. I measured the sole across the balls of my feet and they were 5 1/2 inches. I took out my old 1517 and measured it. They were 5 7/8 inches. They either have poor quality control or they are doing what I have long suspected by rejuvenating their shoes and toe box to…

Uh, sorry I sent it back. There is a band that goes across the foot near the toes that puts pressure on my feet. Not a good feeling, you really notice that after a 10 hour day on your feet (work shoes) and they are a bit swollen. Even in the morning on fresh legs I can still feel these stripes coming off. I like other things about shoes, but comfort comes first.

Don't waste your money. Although they are light, they are uncomfortable and don't fit. I ordered 10.5 4E and closer to 10 2E. Zero supinator. I donated them to the men's shelter.
