Description of 🛢️ Oil Absorbent Mat Pad by New Pig - Pack of 200, Lightweight Oil Pads with 14 oz Absorbency - MAT423, 15" x 20

Eight layers of 100 percent polypropylene are thermally bonded to make Pig mat the strongest mat on the market; won't rip, tear or fray even when saturated. Exclusive dimple pattern speeds wicking of liquid throughout mat for faster, easier cleanup. Highly absorbent, fine-fiber construction won't leave behind liquids or fiber residue. Absorbs and retains oils and oil-based liquids - including lubricants and fuels - without taking in a drop of water. Bright white color makes absorbed oil easier to see; draws attention to machine leaks and clearly shows saturation level during spill response.

Does not absorb diesel fuel and antifreeze

Only absorbs oil. Emphasis on ONLY. Didn't know other spills like Anifrost, Diesel etc would be absorbed. Nothing I wanted to tuck under my marine diesel on board.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • There are problems

Don't Let Your Property Become A Super Fund Site

I do maintenance on all of my heavy equipment, electronics, cars, trucks, ATVs and UTVs. Always keep these absorbent pads as a backup to prevent accidental spills/leaks.

Pros
  • Glitter
Cons
  • Zero

Great for hot tubs, yes, hot tubs!

We dumped 2 of these in our hot tub when a sudsy film of body oils and sunscreen residue formed. Turned from cloudy to crystal clear within a day or two. We put them in a large pool filter bag, but maybe we could use them individually. They don't break like some of the foam pads we've used in the past.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Seniors

Better than kitty litter

I'm a messy mechanic and I always manage to get any liquid I'm working with onto the floor. Most will dry out on their own, but the oil usually stays on forever. With these pads I can only soak up the oil and not anything else I spilled like beer. If oil does get into the antifreeze these hydrophobic pads will only catch the oil from the top and you can recycle your antifreeze as usual. Much lighter than tons of kitty litter and doesn't stink. Now instead of throwing 20 pounds of junk in a…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Not much weight! the best oil absorbers

Pig mats are the best. They work great, last a long time. I'm sure they would have worked fine but I returned them. I didn't know they weren't heavy rugs. I ordered heavy mats. Those 50 carats side by side take up about 40% of the volume of a 50 carat heavyweight stack. at 120% volume is unbeatable value for money. Buy pig mats, just take the heavy ones at the best price.

Pros
  • Absorbs and holds oils and oil based liquids including lubricants and fuels without absorbing a drop of water
Cons
  • Modern
