I bought a starter motor at the last minute thinking I could benefit a little from the purchase as I rarely drive. Lasted one ride before the tongue came off the starter and left me stuck. I highly recommend spending the extra money on a Bosch rather than this aftermarket one. Now I have to buy another starter and do this job twice. Such a waste of money.

The description of this starter motor says it will fit a 1995 BMW 325i and that it is a Bosch unit. When the packaging was opened, there was no indication that it was a Bosch device. More like branded TYC but still ok. After removing my old failed starter, I noticed that this new starter was not threaded like the factory starter. Because it is unthreaded, your transmission bolt will slip through and not be secured. Ultimately, you either have to buy some kind of nut to make it work. I was in a…
