The replacement tips I received do not have a threaded base although product photos show this feature. Mine are completely flat. This means they won't work with regular styrofoam cans, which have a threaded nozzle that a tube screws onto. When you press on the can here, the foam just pushes the tube down to make it fall. Absolutely absurd.

Too brittle. Just an exercise in weird frustration, really. Now I have to take responsibility and try to figure out how to repurpose this ridiculous pile of plastic in front of me. Good idea though. When you open a can of styrofoam putty, all you have to do is do your homework in time to throw away as little material as possible. Worst case scenario, you'll lose three dollars of foam in a glass, and I'm sure the foam gods will accept that as an offering. Try not to think about it too much.

They fit in cans but are CHEAP! Very thin and not so easy to handle. It's good that they're disposable, that's about it. The last thing you need to do is a small project. Three of them took less than half a can of foam. I agree that the straw's position was a little awkward. but the original straw would have survived without any problems. By the way, not only the straws are cheap, but also the packaging in which they are delivered. It ripped and fell apart like paper the first time I opened it.
