Serious reload!

I bought this controller in January and started using it with 2 x 100Ah batteries and 2 x 30w solar panels. With 30 watt panels, the regulator seemed to charge a bit high and the SOC (State Of Charge) indicator never reached 100%, only 99%. Today is a very cloudy day and I decided to install my 210 watt solar panel. . This controller has to withstand 420 watts. The regulator worked with batteries up to 14.8 V! And still only 99% readable. If I didn't turn off the panel quickly (within an hour),

99.77% PPT - Energy Regulator

Performance and specifications were excellent. Power Point Tracking (PPT) was 99.77%. The panel generated 20.4 volts at 5.3 amps. The controller output 12.4 volts at 8.7 amps to the battery. I would say that a 99.77% conversion rate is pretty darn good. I only have one issue with the controller, (1) it doesn't have a backlight, making it difficult to see in bright sunlight or in the dark; (2) The user interface is clunky and you should always keep the manual handy for reference. My controller…

It works but very little help from seller.

This seems to do exactly what it's supposed to do. It charges my AGM for setting parameters and is easy to install for a newbie. What I don't like is the technical support. Email and chat communication left a lot to be desired when looking for a Bluetooth control monitor that would work with this one. The Newpowa website store lists a monitor that does not work with this controller. Eventually after considerable effort I got a plain white monitor that plugs into the port and without the help of

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Very expensive

I received this product in February 2021 because I need an alternative power source. I also bought a very cheap $30 charger at the time, I used the cheap one in a test project and was very impressed with its performance. However, yesterday I decided it was time to try my more expensive Newpowa charger. Worst mistake, I have 2 6v batteries, 1 24v solar panel and a 750w inverter ready to go, just like I thought. I connect my batteries in series to get 12 volts, then I connect the solar panel to…

Controller not fully loaded

I have a 210w panel. I was monitoring load data with a Raspberry Pi. Sometimes it reads over 18 volts from the panel, but in direct sunlight for some reason the voltage is 15.5 volts. What I assume is floating charge charging? When the sun isn't shining directly, it reads 18 volts from the panel. When I go out in the sun early in the morning, I notice that the charge controller goes into fast charge mode at 10 o'clock. Hence the high jump in my charts at this time. But I have an obstacle…

Good controller, fairly full featured. Does what it should.

To be used for a small solar system consisting of 2 x 35Ah AGM batteries, this charge controller and a 300w pure sine wave inverter powered by 2 x 100w panels (my favorite Newpowa -modules, 19" x 46" thin panels). this). This setup provides more than enough power to run LED ceiling lights, lamps, a 65W window fan, and charge our phones, laptops, etc. When it's sunny they run all day and the window fan runs all night. Typically, we wake up in the morning with a battery voltage of around 11.9V or
