Not too impressed: security and surveillance

Not very impressed. Replaced an old dash cam when its hard drive failed. I don't like the fact that the Night Owl app doesn't work on any of my devices. Tried 3 different versions of the app. If this one dies, I'll look for something else.

This is perfect for our needs (UPDATED 2/2/2020)

We had pre-existing cameras, not sure about the brand. It was plug and play and works great. It was also easy and free to stream online! (UPDATE) - The hard drive died in December 2019. Took about 1 year.

I really hate this product. The app is terrible, downloads 4 times, playback features are terrible as is the pc app for that matter. I had a previous version of this dash cam and it was fantastic. The night owl really saved on this software, I advise you to look elsewhere and stay away from this device

Works well, a good improvement over the old models

I bought this to replace an old NightOwl DVR that died. It was easy to set up what you need step by step on screen (I use an old computer monitor). I really liked that you can now reduce motion sensitivity in areas of the screen. Let's say if you have a branch that is wavy in part of the picture, you can crop it. My only issue with the installation is the moving part. Depending on the phone or tablet model and view, there are four different apps in the App Store. First I chose the wrong one and
