Nike Unisex-Child Star Runner 2: Toddler Velcro Running Shoe for Comfort and Style Review

The shoes are high quality and beautiful; However, we specifically ordered them because of the velcro closure for a child with mobility issues. The shoes we received are fully laced with no straps so now he needs help every time he puts his shoes on. Too much hassle with return (30 miles to nearest drop off point) so we just kept it. Again, the shoes are great, but we would have ordered something else if we knew they were fully laced. Damn.

If you're human and have an ankle that moves when you walk, these 'shoes' won't work for you. The strap doesn't close, and since the laces are fake and don't actually tie, these shoes can't stay on your foot when you're trying to walk let alone run. If the velcro had a contact area greater than 1 inch it might hold, but on a normal sized ankle it is held in place by threads. This is the craziest design I can imagine from a world famous brand like Nike. I really don't know who these shoes were…

The description said these were lace up shoes and we wanted that so our son could learn how to tie his laces. When the shoes arrived they were in a very large plain box. They weren't in a Nike box and they were Velcro shoes. They were sent back immediately the next day. I would not order from this company again because their description is wrong and they don't even ship them in the right box.

I love this style of shoes especially for my son he is very adventurous and goes everywhere we bought the same pair 2 years ago same color still fits but we had to exchange my boy loves his reds

My 11 year old son is a sports enthusiast and needed a shoe that would move with him. These did their job perfectly. He said the only downside was that he couldn't get two pairs lol.

The shoes themselves are great, but I ordered shoes with Velcro. Instead I received the same boot but with laces and no Velcro. I specifically wanted velcro.

My daughter needed replacement shoes after she lost hers in a rollover at SF Bay. They are cute, ultra light and comfortable. She is a runner and looks forward to running in it. Shoes also with color code R/L!

These sneakers arrived in a dingy dirty shoe box wrapped in dirty elastic and obviously the sneakers themselves have been worn before! Disgusting

These shoes were initially great! However, the Velcro only stays closed after 2 months of wearing. Even after checking the Velcro and hooks three times for dirt, it still doesn't close properly. My son has to fix them all the time. Not what I would have expected from a Nike product.

Pink as it looks in the photos. Turns out about half a size larger than expected, so don't forget! Also rather long than wide, but overall a good comfortable shoe!

My 9 year old son doesn't like shoes. He makes holes in it every 1-2 months. This is the first pair I've bought in a year that's ready to wear after a month. I was so pleased that I bought another pair in a larger size.

This is the worst purchase I have ever made from Revain. These Nikes are illegal. They weren't packaged in a Nike box, the velcro wouldn't even close and the sole detached after a week. Do not buy!

The bottom of a boot was completely ripped off on November 10th. 4 days after delivery. I would appreciate a refund or a new pair of defective Noob shoes

I mean they are NIKE, you expect decent quality when you buy these specifically for kids. See photos - they speak for themselves. We bought her at the end of August and noticed her condition around October. I'm writing this review in mid-November (it's taken a while) so we've had these shoes for a few months now. Our son is active, but we didn't expect that.

We bought these shoes on April 1st and at the beginning of June my son couldn't wear them anymore. Both shoes have holes, the soles are completely worn out and the insoles are detached and wrinkled, making the shoes unusable. Very disappointed in Nike.

I always buy Nike sneakers for my son (9) but this is the first time I've bought them from Revain. They weren't of the same quality as the rest of his sneakers. After several wears, the rubber on the outsole came loose and burst every time he lifted his foot. I stick to buying his shoes from Foot Locker.

When I first received the shoe I was very happy with it until holes appeared in it. Very comfortable and light but terrible durability.

My child loves them and the velcro allows him to put them on and take them off quickly. They were great for about 2 weeks until I realized the velcro side of one boot was mostly worn away. There doesn't seem to be any way to keep the Velcro closed on this shoe no matter how much fluff we let out. Also, just a month later, a hole had formed in the mesh on the TOP of his boot. Not in the finger area, where you would expect it to be. I know mesh is cheaper for these companies but dammit STOP…

I hate buying shoes online but I got too lazy and decided to shop my sons at Revain. They are his usual size and are of excellent quality. The painting is exactly as described and my 9 year old is happy with it.
