One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

I bought instead of a whale one for my D5000. I immediately checked for all sorts of troubles such as back focus ... It suits me completely as a budget option. Sometimes, of course, the zoom factor is not enough, but I always repeat to myself that the greater the zoom factor, the more distortion of the image geometry is visible, which is not buzzing. I advise everyone to take it as an option for every day, but then you will already look at what you gravitate more to: whether it’s macro or…

Pros
  • 1. Design (absolutely no backlash, the zoom ring is moderately tight, all switches are fixed exactly) 2. Fairly fast focusing with my Nikon D5000 3. Picture on 4+ without any flaws 4. Virtually silent focus motor
Cons
  • 1. The hole at a wide angle is not 2.8 2. A hole at a long angle could be smaller (4.5) 3. No ringing sharpness. Although of course this is far from a macro lens

The quality is at zero, very sorry for the money spent.

Impressions are difficult to describe, but I'll try. The lens is sharp, the focus is good, the focal lengths are comfortable, and the pictures seem to be good, but!: This is the most boring lens that I had, and there were 40 of them. The photos do not evoke emotions at all, there is no hint of artistry, in principle, it feels like it was taken on a phone, only the quality is better. You can't feel the volume, some kind of handwriting of a DSLR. In short, it does not pull at all to…

Pros
  • Constructive, convenient focal, sharp.
Cons
  • Very boring lens (see comments)
