Good camera in the Camera & Photo category

This is mine second d3000 camera. I love the camera but this is my second purchase in a year. I use the camera a lot, and the hinge on the door that contains the hard drive broke. Replacement cost 27.00. Then the camera started making noises when I went to take pictures and only worked occasionally. Much worse. So I ordered another D3000 because I had already bought extra lenses for this camera and they were expensive. It was my fault for not sending the warranty card when I bought the camera…

Ideal for beginners

I purchased this item but never received it. I had to go and buy from a local store. But this is another story. I have to say this camera is a great DSLR to meet people who want to get into photography but don't have that much or no photography experience and don't want to take out a second mortgage to buy a new camera. Sure, there are bigger and better cameras out there, but this one has pretty much everything a beginner could need. I would suggest spending the extra money on better optics in…

Nikon D3000 for DSLR

This is a great digital camera. I have a Nikon D80 and wanted to buy my wife a DSLR as she is interested in photography. This camera is slightly smaller and very easy to use. We particularly like the on-screen programming on the back of the camera. The D3000 doesn't have live view, but that doesn't matter because when you're taking real photos you want to be using the viewfinder, not live view.
