The only conditioner I can find for GTX lined genuine leather

As far as I know this is the only conditioner that is safe to use on gore-tex lined genuine leather. This is because it is water based and not wax/oil or silicone based. Easy to use. I had to apply a second coat. My shoes were thirsty.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • empty

Great moisturizer, bad applicator.

I've been using this for years on my full leather crampon compatible hiking/climbing boots and it works great whether you're breaking in a new pair or refreshing an old pair. This adds water repellency as well as flexibility. The only drawback is the sponge applicator. It breaks down before the bottle is finished. Simple solution: use a normal household sponge in this case.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • good but not great

Darkens some leathers

I bought this to restore some Gore-Tex motorcycle boots that I've had for a few years and were in need of some maintenance. I loved it on the black Gore-Tex leather boots, the leather is soft again and a lot cleaner. I tried it on a pair of Frye Engineer boots and it darkened them noticeably, although it didn't really seem to care for them. I would suggest testing this on a very small area of leather boots you intend to use this on.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Great skin conditioner!

I bought this product because Nikwax is the recommended brand for Vivoborefoot shoes. I used this on a pair of camel desert boots after a few rainy days in Texas when splashing around in the puddles started to dry out the skin a bit and it worked great! First I used Nikwax shoe polish and then conditioner. My boots are super smooth and look completely renewed! I definitely plan to use this for all my other leather shoes.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Vanish

Easy to apply, slightly darkens the skin

The maker of my vegetable tanned leather boots recommends Nikwax. They didn't answer the question of whether they darken the skin. The answer is yes, but they will lighten up a bit after drying completely and the skin will actually look richer after use. It was very easy to use. I wet the boots and then applied them. I've tried not to apply too much so I don't have to wash off any excess later. In the picture, one shoe has been edited while the other has not yet been edited.

  • Absolutely amazing!

Use for car care

The bottle came without instructions. It had a sponge applicator so I figured if I shake and squeeze the bottle the sponge would get wet and I'd rub it on my shoes. Nothing has happened. I removed the sponge cap to see if there was a seal underneath but there was nothing so I replaced it and tried again. The sponge stayed dry, but then the lid flew off, and almost the entire bottle fell to the floor. I picked it up with a paper towel and applied it to my boots and then named it Nikwax. They…

Perfect for leather winter boots

I used this Nikwax conditioner for winter boots. My leather boots were looking a bit dry and sad so I decided to treat them. The product was EXTREMELY easy to use, but I found I had to keep my hand inside the boot to have firm pre-pressure to press on the tip (to let the liquid flow out) and I squeezed to make sure that there was enough liquid. Exit. It was easy to massage in and you could tell the difference immediately. I followed the directions, wiping them down with a damp cloth, then…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Easy care
