Our light colored Ubbi nappies keep odors inside but are difficult to open when you put on a new nappy. If you open the lid, the room will be filled with stench. I read in another review that a charcoal bag wouldn't work well when placed under a bin liner (in our case it probably would still work due to the way the liner is placed in the Ubbi range), so I have the edges sealed with tape to hold on the top of the pale cover (on the non-slip part).
