I bought this as a 6v battery maintenance tool because it claims to work on 6v. I haven't seen that every time you turn the power off or on you have to press and hold the bottom for 3 seconds to activate the 6 volt charge. Once every 4 times for each battery. Batteries are harder to keep charged. The good news is they look good.

This is a great charger. Reconditioned my dirt bike's lithium battery and almost paid for itself. The only downside is that most of my bikes come with SAE fittings. However, with NOCO clamp cables, you can remove the clamps and replace the SAE connectors. In the end it's worth it. For other vehicles where wiring can be difficult, simply purchase an SAE adapter.

I hooked up 4 batteries (2 marine, 1 backup generator, 1 car) and am amazed at the efficiency and reliability of this NOCO system. No more dead RV batteries during travel time. I keep a battery for my electric starter. Just in case, I hooked up a backup generator to compensate. Most car/boat batteries have 5/16" or 3/8" threaded connectors and I bought this charger to permanently connect to my car batteries. The tabs on the clips are removable so you can do it, but the tabs are only 6mm or just under 1/4 inch. They are not suitable for this. They sell additional eyelet connectors for $12 each, which you can purchase separately for an additional $50. I can wire them up as advertised or I'll have to solder my own connectors which will likely void any warranty.

This is amazing. Even the packaging is impressive. Comes with everything you need. Just connect it to your batteries, turn it on and go. It has a brain that watches over your batteries to make sure they're getting exactly what they need to stay healthy and ready for you when you need them. You can leave them on indefinitely (you still need to check the water level in flooded lead-acid batteries regularly, of course *only use distilled water for topping up). UPDATE #2: A replacement has arrived and has been working for about a week now. Everything seems fine. It gets pretty hot (> 140 Fahrenheit). I'm nervous about the reliability of the electronics. Rating 3/5 UPDATE #1: Channel 2 stopped working in less than 2 days. The LED does not light up (only) on channel 2, regardless of the configuration or switching the device on/off. El Broco! Despite claiming that this device can charge up to 40Ah and will service ANY size battery, by design this product will NOT support more than the rated charge. I bought the device specifically for servicing 4 batteries throughout the winter. A lawnmower battery and a small car battery worked fine, but two fully charged 50Ah and 70Ah deep cycle batteries could not be supported by this unit. Ordered this charger on day 1 and finally installed it 4 days ago and everything seemed to work fine. However, after 2 days, port 3 is now blinking, which means the device is overheated and cannot work. Wrote to tech support, they said the unit is defective, send it to them under warranty. I had high hopes for this but was disappointed. I was given a choice between this and the optima digital 1200, in the end I chose the Noco route due to the extra cables and the presence of a large number of batteries that required winter maintenance.
