Features and specifications are only available for traditional receivers with a much higher price.

The build quality and finish is clean and professional which shows confidence in the product. Installation and setup (including installing software on a Mac) was easy, hassle-free, and quick. The kit includes a fairly complete set of accessories, although the user will need a USB cable to power the "Ham it Up" module. This is a GREAT DISCOUNT! I had so much fun playing with this SDR. Some caveats, follow the email instructions in the letter. The driver software download instructions are incorrect. The device should appear as NE SDR. it is not. it will appear as a bulk device. The instructions will tell you which address of the device is displayed correctly. Once the driver loaded, I downloaded the software and enjoyed it. No, it's not a flex radio. but it's a well built little sdr thst that you can slip in…

Luckily these software defined radio dongles are cheap although the bundle I bought was a bit more expensive. Everything in the kit was average, the antennas gave poor reception on every band I tried. Even standard FM reception was very poor. I tried an old amateur dual band mobile antenna which made things MUCH better. What worries me the most is that the thing works at all because of the software. If you buy something like this you need to know what kind of software you want to run and then install it. software and check if the device is supported. This is great technology and I've barely scratched the surface of its capabilities. It was bought to listen to FT8 broadcasts. In the future it will be used in many ways that I can't imagine yet.
