I understand that other reviews talk about scratches and scuffs. Mine had SMALL scuffs, nothing to worry about given the price of this holder. Plus, it's durable and absolutely beautiful to hold a cake in. Be sure to cover the plate with another plate like I did, or parchment paper like someone else suggested.

This cake stand is very pretty, sturdy and good value, however I was disappointed with the colour. I was expecting it to be "crystal clear" as advertised, but it isn't. It's smoky gray. If you're looking for a manager that will show off your creations perfectly, you won't like this. It's translucent, but I would definitely NOT call it crystal clear.
