Halved after about 10 uses

As the title suggests, this item didn't last long. It just broke after about 10 uses. Not well done and I'm not even sure it was accurate when it was whole.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Disappointed - Timer

I must have gotten a completely different model than other reviewers because the part that says 'soft' is so far to the right that you can't read it. Very disappointed as the soft boiled egg will now be a guessing game. Cheap production Norpro.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Periodicity

Good visibility but stinks

This thermal egg timer has the best display on the market. It's easy to see where your egg is at a glance, especially when it's between "SOFT" and "MEDIUM". Egg-shaped heat timers have a slight division between "soft" and "medium": With water boiling, it's hard to see where your egg is. Unfortunately, this timer stinks of water. I fixed it like this: 1) put my (2) timers in a 5 liter pot with fresh water; 2) bring to a boil, simmer gently for 1/2 hour or until the water really stinks; 3) fill…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing
