North Face Hedgehog Fastpack Hiking Men's Shoes for Athletic Review

These are the best waterproof hiking shoes I've had in my 30 years in Vermont. Comfort with excellent grip on wet, slippery, rocky surfaces.

I'm quite a hardcore walker. I ride about 55 miles in a work week and bought these with the expectation that they would match the North Face Ultra 109 shoes I bought from REI. I love these shoes. These shoes fit as expected but I felt "stiff". on the sole where the ball of my foot rests. I thought they were going to break in in a week or so but they didn't. The size didn't fit, I had to order a size up. Wanted to love them but the soles are peeling off after moderate use. Great shoes apart from the size and delamination of the Vibram sole. You'd think the Gore-tex Vibram North Face would be better built. .

Rugged footwear, on par with the latest north side products. Looks like they turned a corner. The plastic membrane is noisy, like most flexible waterproof boots, but nothing annoying.

It is exactly as advertised, I got what I paid for. Already filmed several times and driven more than 100 km with it. Perfect for easy trails when you don't feel like fully gearing up.

My legs hurt on the side of my ankle and I feel a little sloppy. My return period has expired (wish I could). I've tried to get it to spread but it just seems to be getting worse. I would NOT recommend it!

It looks like a high quality shoe but is actually designed for a wider foot. Because of this I had to use North Face Ultra 109 Waterproof. If you have rather bulky and wide feet, it's worth a try. I returned them.

It came out of the packaging perfectly and didn't need any break-in time for me. I have a hard time finding a size 13W so having this shoe from the start was a huge benefit. I also have a large physique so having that support was important too. I will recommend this shoe and the seller for future purchases.

Buying them was a good decision. I've had it for a year now, used it in the desert (Jordan), snow and rain (Boston) and I'm completely satisfied. These shoes have a very durable construction, especially the outsole. In fact, the outsole is so strong that it's not very flexible. These shoes are made for slower, more methodical strides over rough terrain. I've used them for travel in Southeast Asia and they've been ok, I'd say 7/10, 3 stars overall.

After researching waterproof shoes and reading great reviews on some travel sites, I decided to give it a try. Very good product, highly recommended. I'm on my feet all day and they are very comfortable. I would take Balega socks. You will not regret this purchase.

I have used this product as a general farm outing. When I put the boot on for the first time, the heel area of my right foot was rough. After 15 or 20 minutes of walking, my leg got used to the condition when I went about my business. I was hoping they would feel more comfortable after hacking, but they aren't. I gave them four stars anyway because after that first 15 or 20 they're fine for the rest of the day.
