I have used these hinges in several applications with no problems but be aware that their thickness can cause unexpected problems. On the door I used this particular order on, I didn't have the wiggle room to get these hinges to work. They were just under 1/16 inch thicker which caused the door I put them on to hit the frame. These are sturdy hinges that should work on commercial doors, but some front doors, especially metal doors, can be problematic.

Exterior doors require 3-4 hinges per door. I think most people buy them for exterior doors. A loop doesn't do anything at all; Two hinges can work on very light exterior doors, but all of our exterior doors required 3-4 hinges. Please note the bronze hinges I received do not match the photos - there is a tiny piece of the nickel colored hinge - see photo. Pay special attention to the instructions - when adding tension, the spring should be rotated clockwise.

Bought these to install on a garage door, access to trash cans. They are exactly the same size as the originals in width and height and the holes match up perfectly. Only thing is they are thicker than the ones on the door and unless you get a hammer and chisel and dig deep the door won't close as the hinges push the entire door towards the handle. I mounted them on the door from the kitchen to the garage. The box had all the necessary screws, pins and an Allen key. The holes matched perfectly. Just make sure you check the product description for the correct measurements. Easy work for 10 minutes. Liked the build quality. Now for the cons. The springs in the hinge are a bit weak.
