I bought this because I've moved to a place that doesn't have a dishwasher. I love the tall sides and square shape and in fact they wash ALL the plates, pots and pans I use, including large dinner plates, small plates and large pans. It includes lots of paraphernalia to soak while I work on the pile. I don't mind the narrow width of traditional rectangular bowls.
