Bad product - not worth a penny

Bought this sharpener for my 2 children (7 and 9) to use at home. I didn't really use it seriously until the pandemic forced everyone to stay home and my kids had to continue studying online. Just yesterday I asked my son to sharpen about 10 pencils on the eve of the week and the device wouldn't turn on. It would show no sign of turning on or off. silent. Nothing. At first I thought it was an outlet, then I tried other outlets. Same result! No sound, no rotation. Terrible! Then I decided toโ€ฆ

I bought this sharpener 2 1/2 months ago. I've used it on 3 separate occasions to sharpen 24 packs of colored pencils. It ended up not working the third time, but I didn't think much about it. I thought it was overheating and turned it off to cool down. I tossed the shavings and put them away to finish another time. I tried to use it today and it doesn't work at all. Nothing has happened. He doesn't make a sound and doesn't try to turn around. As if the device is not connected (it is). I triedโ€ฆ

Ideal for children at home and in lower classrooms. Be sure when placing.

My kids love this sharpener. It's fast and sharpens better than my school sharpeners. I am a teacher and my birth children would often sharpen ten pencils every two weeks using the powerful sharpeners in my classroom. In the meantime, they used their tiny pocket sharpeners. It didn't work that well. We always ran out of sharpened pencils for art projects and homework. My biggest objection to an electric sharpener at home was the danger it posed to my three year old. She is precocious and tooโ€ฆ
