My husband and I put it together in about 30 minutes (from carrying the box to cleaning it). If you have no furniture assembly experience, this can be a bit confusing. The table looks more expensive than it was. I have mostly oak furniture, but this is a 'transitional' piece in a mid-century modern space as the texture and stain is smooth rather than rustic. I am very happy.

This is a well made desk for its money. I use the table as a desk. The space is small but due to working remotely with COVID I needed an office. This console table fits in a closet, but is wide and deep enough to support two monitors and a workspace. The bottom shelf is ideal for a slide out mouse and keyboard platform. The cabinet is 24 inches deep and this table matches the chair perfectly.

We try to follow the diagrams to see if we can understand them, but they are small. Really disappointed! When asked where to get instructions, they responded very quickly. Good: Made of real wood, not MDF. The top is veneered to improve grain, but the veneer is well done nonetheless. Cons: Comes with cams and they are very bad cams. Half of it doesn't stick to the screw head at all. The other half snaps into place, but it's made out of cheap alloy, so it warps and then breaks when you try to tighten it enough to actually secure the table top. I first found this at Target online for about $144. I sniffed around a bit and found exactly the same table here for a much cheaper price. Arrived today and yes the assembly instructions can be a bit crazy. Let's just say it lasts an hour and you'll be fine. One important thing. If you have assembled Ikea bookcases in the past you can skip the instructions. Very easy to assemble, mine is real wood not chipboard but use hand tools and don't overtighten or you might rip something as ash is a soft wood.
